This Level 2 programme is designed to equip learners with the practical skills, technical knowledge, and professional competencies required to perform routine maintenance on electric and hybrid vehicles. Learners will develop expertise in working with key vehicle systems, including batteries, electric drivetrains, braking, and cooling systems, while applying industry-standard safety procedures when handling high-voltage components. The programme also emphasises working safely around electric and hybrid vehicles and preparing learners to plan and respond effectively to electric/hybrid vehicle accidents, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

In addition, learners will apply advanced digital literacy and numeracy skills to support diagnostics, data interpretation, and maintenance activities using modern automotive tools and technologies.
